MEMBERSHIP NEWS

In an effort to streamline our processes, conserve dollars, and make things easier for you, our members, the Society is emailing membership renewal notices to those members who have an email account in our database.  Some of you may have already received a notice from us in this way. If you do not wish to receive your renewals by email just let us know.  Those who do not have emails will continue to receive renewals by mail.

Throughout the year we will also be emailing letters and other items of interest from our Executive Director.  We will always post those items on our web page as well.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns we welcome your phone calls at 785-579-6761 or Emails to sfidkanas@gmail.com

    1. MR. Stoddard –
The Board of Directors voted not to publish a 2019 calendar. The cost of the calendar became too high.

  2. My membership expired on 9-30-2018 and I did not receive a renewal notice nor did I receive any Bridgehead Sentinels during the past year. I had been a member at least since the 80s and had been dropped somehow and it appears my renewal in 2017 didn’t take.

    1. Mr. Horner –
Not sue how or why that happened. Can you verify this is your correct address?
      2123 Marlboro Dr.
      Alexandria, Virginia 22304
Once you verify this is correct I will send you a renewal notice and the latest copy of the Bridgehead.

    1. Mr. Santiago –
With this new web page there was not an option for a message board. When we did have a message board we didn’t have the manpower to monitor it, so sometimes inappropriate comments were posted.. We do have a Facebook Page that you can make comments or send us a private message on. You are also welcome to send us an email anytime.

    2. Message board is still on and as the Executive Director I make myself available to answer questions from our members.

  3. Last week the Society was able to assist a Soldier in the Division who received an Emergency Red Cross message informing him that his Grandmother who raised him was not expected to live more than a few days. The Soldier did not have the financial means to travel to North Carolina to see his grandmother one the last time before he deployed, so the Society stepped in and with the assistance from the Greater Flint Hill Military Group, Terry Hueser and Society BRO Support fund we where able to provide the Soldier funds necessary for him and his family to make the trip home. The Soldier and his family were thankful beyond words. I want to thank members for there contributions to the BRO Support fund for without them we could not do the great deeds like this to help our Soldiers in their time of need.
